You have noticed another word in that title that is not confidence, and that word is “prepared”. How can you be prepared to convince people of your ideas, you may ask? Reading this book and memorising its rule is a good start (though I may be a little biased there!), but there are so many other things to consider when we talk about being prepared, in the same way as when we talk about being confident. You can’t just be prepared for everything – some things will surprise you; some things will just be different enough that you have to prepare yourself in a completely different way. It is being prepared for the stuff you know is coming and being confident you can handle the things that you don’t know are coming that makes the most of this partnership. Being prepared is putting in the work beforehand to give yourself the edge in every situation you find yourself in; it is your sword. And confidence, like I said before, is the shield that protects you; the confidence of knowing you can handle the things that surprise you will make sure you can keep swinging that sword!
